Gloucester High School rowers Casey Martin, Bailey Hamilton, Mackenzie Marbain and Ashleigh Dough, along with coxswain Autumn Rose, were silver medal winners Saturday in the prestigious Stotesbury Regatta in Philadelphia.

Competing in the women’s junior four, the Gloucester girls were second in a field of 66 in their Stotesbury time trial in 6:15 and trailed the first place boat by just one minute. They were second again in their semifinal with a time of 6:19 before posting a time of 6:03 for second place in the finals.

Also at Stotesbury, Zach Moore and Chase Holland placed 11th in men’s double time trial with a time of 6:09, sending them to the semifinals. They were fifth in their semifinal race with a time of 5:50 but did not advance.

The GHS men’s junior four of Russell Simpson, John Cooper, Jordan Dickey, Aaron Parr and coxswain Isaac Hankins placed 21st in the time trials and did not make the semifinals. ...
