The Gloucester Rowing Association finished its fall competition with a pair of second-place finishes in the Head of the Occoquan races last weekend.

Hannah Cagle and Brianna Priode combined to take second place behind a well-seasoned crew in the lightweight double. Elizabeth Keane, Hannah Beverage, Gabby Lauer and Kendall Worland, with coxswain Matthew Hendrix, also won second place racing in a field of 20 boats in the junior four. The GRA women had an excellent fall season, finishing among the top three in all of their races.

On the men’s side, Logan Hutson, James Lane, Ryan Brooks, Chris Smith and coxswain Meagan Martin were 19th in the junior four. Winter training begins next week as the rowers prepare for the Mid-Atlantic Erg Sprints and the spring racing season.
