Gloucester Resource Council to hold program on brain injury

Martha Hall, member of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, will speak at the Nov. 7 meeting of the Gloucester Resource Council. Hall will explain brain injury causes and effects and provide an overview of services provided by the BIAV during the meeting, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Gloucester Library community room,

The BIAV is the only statewide non-profit organization in Virginia exclusively devoted to serving individuals with brain injury, their families, and those that care for and about them, said Gloucester County spokesperson Christi Lewis.

Over 10,000 people find help from BIAV each year and the association exists to be the voice of brain injury through help, hope and healing for Virginians with brain injury and their families, Lewis said.

All Gloucester Resource Council meetings are open to the public and held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Gloucester Library community room.
