Over 30 representatives from community organizations, county agencies, faith-based groups and businesses attended the Gloucester Resource Council’s kickoff meeting for 2012-13 last Wednesday in the Gloucester Library community room.

Council chair Ellie Galloway said information on the CommunityConnection for non-profits was reviewed and shared during the meeting. 

The CommunityConnection service provides a weekly town crier announcement board, a volunteer needs/opportunities database, a community calendar of events and public meetings, grant and foundation information and non-profit training opportunities.  

The service can be found on the Gloucester County website at www.gloucesterva.info. Non-profit organizations were encouraged to check the community resource directory, also on the county website, to ensure that their group is listed and the information updated.
