Gloucester represented in Penn Relay

Gloucester High School was represented in the annual Penn Relay Carnivals in Philadelphia last weekend for the second consecutive year.

Jasmin Scott, Lauren Hill, Mia Robinson and Malia Ward ran the 400 meter relay in 54 seconds to place 392 among 616 teams. The same girls ran the 1600 relay an hour later and placed fourth in their heat, just shy of getting a medal. They finished 408 among 623 in a time of 4:24.41.

In their relays, Justin Garcia, John Patterson, Cameron Walker, Jordan Haas and David Sadikov had a DNF due to lane placement in the 400 and a time of 3:42.25 in the 1600 to finish 459 among 550 teams.

At the Real Deal Track Classic in Todd Stadium on Saturday Joshua Shackelford was seventh in the junior varsity boys’ 400 meter in 57.95, John Pryor Jr. was eighth in the JV 100 in 12.79 and Ruby Williams was ninth in the JV 400 in 1:09.8. ...
