The Gloucester Renaissance Fair will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17, at and near the historic court circle.
Gloucester County officials are coordinating with the project contractor to ensure that the event will still run smoothly despite a major road construction project in the court circle area, said Hilton Snowdon, tourism coordinator for the Gloucester Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism. A temporary gravel pathway will be placed prior to the event to allow visitors and participants to access the court green safely, he said.
Carriage Court will be closed to traffic, but there should be ample parking only a couple of blocks away on Main Street and in the nearby parking lots behind Gloucester County Office Buildings 1 and 2, Snowdon said.
"They will be here rain or shine," he said of the medieval reenactors and assorted vendors who have been lined up by Medieval Fantasies Company of Churchville.
