The kickoff event for the 2015 Gloucester Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6 at Distinction Catering and Special Events Hall in the White Marsh Shopping Center.

“I encourage all team members to come, as well as anyone who is interested in Relay for Life, because there are a lot of changes and we’re excited because they are changes we wanted,” said Melissa Edwards, who will be leading the Gloucester Relay for the fourth time. “I want to be a part of finding a cure and this is how I can be a part of that.”

Relay for Life celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2015 as the Gloucester Relay for Life marks its 20th year. Locally, Relay organizers have announced an addition to the event, new hours and a realigned leadership structure.
