Gloucester Relay to be held May 14 at Lighthouse Worship Center

The Gloucester Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society moves this spring to Lighthouse Worship Center, Ordinary, and will feature performances by the Mullins Sisters. Ceremonies to open the 2016 event begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 14.

The survivor lap begins at 2:30 p.m. and will be followed by the survivor dinner at 3 p.m. Vendors, games and music with D.J. Steve will be open to the public through the afternoon. The caregiver lap is scheduled for 4:30 followed by the 5 o’clock “bubble lap,” a special lap dedicated to children battling cancer.

The cowboy lap begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by music from the Mullins Sisters beginning at 7. The Mullins Sisters will join in the memory lap at 8 o’clock. The luminaria ceremony will be held at 9 p.m. and the closing ceremonies are scheduled for 10.
