Gloucester reaches above 200 COVID-19 cases

This week, Gloucester’s COVID-19 case count reached over 200 as the United States as a whole has surpassed the six million mark.

As of Wednesday morning, Gloucester has had 206 confirmed cases of COVID-19, experiencing 17 new cases during the past week.

Mathews stayed steady with its COVID-19 case counts with a total of 23 cases documented and Middlesex increased by one for a total of 55 cases. In a positive sign, there were no new hospitalizations or deaths recorded this past week in the three counties as a result of the virus.

The Three Rivers Health District as a whole stands at 1,298 cases, 94 hospitalizations and 20 deaths since the pandemic began. Virginia has recorded 122,542 cases, 9,678 hospitalizations and 2,641 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
