Gloucester rapper to hold first live performance

Rapper Dominic Buzzell of Gloucester, who goes by the stage name “That boy Dom” will hold his first live concert performance on Friday in Norfolk. He will appear along with other artists in “Dreams to Reality,” a benefit concert at The Headquarters, 6204 North Military Highway.

He is the son of local entrepreneur Courtney Buzzell Riley, owner of Proximo Marketing Strategies. A business owner who helps clients follow their dreams, Riley said she is proud to have passed the entrepreneurial spirit to her son.

That boy Dom, a rising artist and rapper, is now building a legacy of his own and recently released his first music video titled, “See It Through.” He plans to drop another single this month. “I don’t believe in luck,” he said. “It’s hard work, discipline and faith. I don’t wonder if I’ll make it—I just go after it. It’s in my blood.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. The show starts at 7. For information about the benefit concert, as well as purchase advance tickets, search for Eventbr...
