Gloucester PRT fall events

SURVIVAL SKILLS: Glou-cester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring Outdoor Living Skills for ages 6 years and over at Beaverdam Park. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, the group will explore how to build a shelter and a fire. During the same hours on Saturday, Oct. 23, the group will explore edible plants and how to purify water.

The fee for each session is $10 and the deadline to register is one week prior to meeting. Pre-registration is required.

OWL WALK: An Owl Walk will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, at Beaverdam Park. The fee is $5 per person and the deadline to register is this Friday, Sept. 24. Pre-registration is required.

THE FULL HIKE: Gloucester PRT is sponsoring The Full Hike at Beaverdam Park on Saturday, Oct. 2. Meet at Beaverdam Park’s Main Entrance (8687 Roaring Springs Road) at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. or noon.
