Gloucester Point ice cream, coffee shop expands offerings

Twister, which began five years ago selling ice cream and coffee, has added lots of new products in recent months. The store is located on George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester Point.

Owner Mis Bush of Seaford said her new concept for the store is to provide “home-away-from-home meals.” To that end, she has added a large assortment of deli sandwiches and wraps (stuffed with hand-carved meats and good-for-you vegetables).

Many of the sandwiches are traditional American fare, such as roast beef melt, Philly cheese steak, and Italian sub, while the store also offers a few salads. Paying tribute to her native South Korea, Bush offers a Bul-Go-Gi sub, which features marinated beef and Asian spices. Another new addition is a juicer, in which Bush combines kale, spinach, lemon, ginger, carrots and similar ingredients in varying proportions for an assortment of juices.
