The Gloucester Planning Commission will hold a work session tonight about whether to allow more temporary signs in the county. The work session will be part of the commission’s regular December meeting, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the colonial courthouse.

During its regular November meeting the commission heard from several business owners who were concerned with the proposed amendments to the sign ordinance that the advisory body has been working on over the past year, planning director Anne Ducey-Ortiz said in a Nov. 22 memorandum to the commission.

Some of the business owners showed up at the meeting in response to having been issued notices from the Gloucester Codes Compliance Office for posting temporary signs.
