Gloucester Pawn relocates to White Marsh

Gloucester Pawn relocated in late April from Hayes to larger space on Route 17 just north of White Marsh Shopping Center in a building that had housed The Mercantile for years.

Jeff Parrish, who owns Gloucester Pawn with his wife Robin, said they have purchased the building that provides space to display much more inventory. The new store has 3,800 square feet, compared to 2,800 square feet they previously leased near Meineke Car Care at Hayes.

Many people think of a pawn shop as a place to get money for items they possess, Parrish said. However, it’s also a place to buy both new and used items.

Display cases and racks are filled with jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, guns and many other items.
