A special “Santa on the Trail” event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Gloucester’s Beaverdam Park. Children will be able to enjoy a short hike along a naturally decorated trail to find Santa Claus, and stay for some cocoa and cookies. A digital picture of your child with Santa can be sent to you via e-mail. The fee is $5 per child and the deadline to register is Saturday.

In other news from the North Pole, the Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will be accepting letters for Santa Claus. Children may write to Santa at P.O. Box 329, Gloucester, Va. 23061 by Monday and they will receive a letter back from Santa.
