Gloucester NAACP, W.E.B. Dubois Honor Society sponsor college, career fair

More than 35 colleges, universities, trade apprentice schools and career businesses will be represented at an upcoming College and Career Fair, to be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, at Gloucester High School.

Sponsored by the Education Committee of the Gloucester branch of the NAACP and the W.E.B. Dubois Honor Society of Gloucester High School, the fair will include representatives from almost all of Virginia’s major colleges and universities, a number of community colleges, all branches of the military except the Air Force, and such institutions as ECPI, Newport News Shipbuilding, the Riverside Health System, and the Fairfield Foundation, which is looking for interns.

The most distant universities that will be represented are the University of Rhode Island, Ursinus College and Cabrini University out of Pennsylvania, and Bryant & Stratton College out of New York.
