Gloucester Museum topic of Fourth Friday program

“What’s New at the Gloucester Museum of History” will be the next topic of the Guinea Heritage Association’s Fourth Friday program.

Robert Kelly Jr., Gloucester County Museums Coordinator, will discuss new exhibits and programs at the county’s local history museum and share ideas on partnership opportunities with the GHA at the program, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 25 at Buck’s Store Museum, Bena. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Kelly, a graduate of Old Dominion University, was named the county’s Museum Coordinator in 2020. He previously served as the Casemate Museum Historian and as the Fort Monroe Authority’s Research and Preservation Assistant.

He is the author of many published articles and regularly presents programs across southeast Virginia. A frequent history consultant for the Daily Press, Kelly is currently president of the Fort Monroe Historical Society and vice president of the American Friends of Lafayette.
