Gloucester Minis beat Poquoson Bulls, 26-19

The Gloucester Knights Minis football team beat the Poquoson Bulls by a 26-19 margin Saturday, bringing the team’s record to 2-1.

Coach William Broughman gave MVP nods to Zayden and Aziah Pluim. Zayden led the offense by rushing for 147 yards and three touchdowns. Aziah Pluim racked up three tackles for the defense. Other key contributors in the game were Nehemiah Greene and Brantley Desalvo and Drayden Pluim.

For the cheerleaders, Aniyah Cook and Mallorie Coates were awarded most spirited, while Neaveh Clements and Arionna Burchett were awarded best technique.

The Knights will look to build on this win on Saturday when they play the Tri-City Hurricanes.
