Gloucester magician uses talent for charities

Joe Pescador does magic. He makes balls float in the air, produces silks, and can make a pen disappear. He can tear up a newspaper, restore it to its original appearance, and produce a dove from it or make a deck of cards shrink and disappear. He can even make it snow indoors. His puppet “Chunky Monkey” sometimes performs with him, revealing an audience member’s chosen card or helping in other ways.

 

Pescador will be performing a few of his tricks at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Newington Baptist Church’s Valentine Dinner fundraiser, which is being held to raise money for the church’s Honduras Mission Team to travel to Honduras to help orphans.
