Gloucester Library at Main Street Center will host its fourth annual “Comix Con” event this Saturday, the first year the event will be held virtually.
“I had to make a tough decision to make it virtual,” said Sissi Mise, Middle and High School Coordinator at the library.Comix Con, which is the largest program that the library has, was canceled last year due to the spread of COVID-19.
Mise had to make the difficult decision whether to hold the usual in-person event which typically draws a crowd of 3,000 people or to hold it virtually this year. Mise said that she is glad that she chose the virtual option this year due to the spread of the COVID-19 delta variant.
“We’re really happy to offer it as a virtual event this year,” said Mise.
Comix Con will be pre-recorded and will last about an hour. The video will be uploaded on Saturday to the Gloucester County YouTube Channel and can be viewed at any time.
