Gloucester Library to hold insect program Aug. 8

Gloucester County Public Library, Main Street Center, will hold the insect program, “Butterflies, Beetles and Bugs,” on Saturday, Aug. 8, beginning at 10:30 a.m. This program is for children in kindergarten through third grade. Children will investigate the life cycle of insects, examine real bugs under microscopes and learn all about the creepy crawlies they can find in their own backyards. Registration is now open. Quilting program rescheduled The River Country Quilters Guild will be at the library’s Main Street Center location next Thursday, Aug. 6 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. to teach youth ages 10-15 how to quilt. This program was rescheduled from July 22. Attendees will learn the basics of quilt making and complete a nine-patch quilted tote bag project. Registration has begun.
