Gloucester Library ‘maxed out’ for teen volunteers this summer

The Gloucester Library is “maxed out” for teen volunteers this summer, teen coordinator Sissi Mise said Monday.

There was so much interest in teen volunteers this summer, Mise said, that she waived the 20-teen limit and accepted 22 for the summer program.

The teen volunteers shelve books, help with summer reading program activities, and handle other tasks, she said.

Although Mise is not looking for any more summertime volunteers this year, she is accepting applications from teens interested in helping out at the main library once the new school year begins. For more information, call 693-2998. In other library news, Mise said that the library will be closed Sunday because of Father’s Day.
