Gloucester Knights take on Grafton-Tabb Tigers

The Knights of the Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League faced off against the Grafton-Tabb Tigers on Saturday.The Mites division saw the Knights lose a close one, 13-12. Head coach Damian Broughman said that the offense was led by Keane Barnett who recorded 54 yards and a touchdown.

Other major contributors on that side of the ball were Xavier Broughman who had 51 yards and Ayden Harris who ended the game with 27 yards and a touchdown. Both Xavier Broughman and Harris led the defense as well. Jay Stokes also had a good game recording four tackles and a fumble recovery.

The Mighty Mites also fell to the Tigers, losing 19-6. Head coach Damion Stokes said the offense was led by Durrell Daisy who had 97 rushing yards off nine carries and recorded the Knights lone score.

On defense, Ethan Stott with nine tackles.

The Midgets had the same luck taming the Tigers as the other Knights, losing 22-6. Head coach Ray Cook said the game was hard fought until the final whistle.
