The Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed in the first Bay Rivers District meet of the season last Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Windsor Castle Park in Smithfield. Aden Depaz finished with a time of 19:59 in the boys’ 5000-meter run, followed by Lincoln Alcorn (20:20), Cesar Gomez (21:28), Logan McAllister (22:09), Blake Walters (23:20), Brayl’n Johnson (24:07), Riley Rowe (24:27), Ryan Hale (24:29), Cameron Blankenbelcer (25:53) and Ryan McAllister and Ryker Jordan who both finished the race with a time of 26:12.Gunnar West finished the boys’ 3200-meter race with a time of 16:01, followed by Marcos Gomez (17:03), Joey Grochowski (17:53), Mason Jordan (18:02), Nathan Harris (18:45), Gavin Worster (19:03) and Austin Schumacher (19:14). For the girls’ 5000-meter run, Rachel Blittle finished with a time of 22:45, followed by Ali Morelli (23:51), Emma Hogge (25:46), Lacey Donnelly (30:29) and Alexandra Byser (37:10).
