Gloucester girl gets special song just for her

This Mother’s Day was extra special for mother and daughter Bobbie and Aubrey Becker of Gloucester thanks to a private concert and a song written and performed just for Aubrey.

Last year when the pandemic began, Joseph Myers of Maine created a Facebook group called “Quarantine Karaoke.” The page quickly grew and currently has 700,000 members and counting. On the page, Bobbie came across a musician from southern California, Sawyer Auger. Auger performed cover songs on the site and began playing originals as his fan base grew. Auger was previously a contestant on “American Idol” and “The Voice.”

Once Auger started offering to write personalized songs on request, Bobbie messaged him about writing a very special song for Aubrey from her father’s perspective.
