The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors is expected to adopt the county’s $133 million fiscal year 2014-15 budget during its meeting Tuesday night, which is scheduled to begin at 7 o’clock in the colonial courthouse.

Gloucester County administrator Brenda Garton first presented her proposed budget to the board on March 4, proposing no tax increases for residents, as requested in January by the board of supervisors.

Since then, there have been multiple work sessions on the budget, including a public hearing where many school employees spoke, encouraging supervisors to do whatever possible to improve the quality of education in Gloucester County Public Schools and improve the compensation for its employees.

The proposed budget does not include any increase in local funding, as requested by the schools superintendent.
