Gloucester Daffodil Show largest ever with 1,227 entries

CHARLIE KOENIG / GAZETTE-JOURNAL The Gloucester Daffodil Show was held April 1 and 2 at Newington Baptist Church. Exhibitors came from seven different states to enter the three divisions of Horticulture, Photography and Artistic Design. Horticulture garnered 86 exhibitors, 1,227 entries and 2,228 stems total, which is the largest stem count to date in the history of the Gloucester show. Photography had 32 exhibitors.

The Gloucester Daffodil Show, which was held at Newington Baptist Church on April 1-2 in conjunction with the Gloucester Daffodil Festival, had 85 horticultural exhibitors with 1,227 entries totaling 2,228 daffodil stems, according to 2023 co-chairs Maryann Hogge and Kristen Oney.

“We had our largest show ever and will possibly be the largest ADS [American Daffodil Society] show in the country, fingers crossed,” Hogge said.
