Gloucester residents Michael and Jessica Snider recently purchased a franchise of Lamb Exterminating.

They will trade as Lamb Exterminating Southside LLC. Their service area will cover South Hampton Roads, an area not presently covered by the parent company, Lamb Exterminating of Gloucester Point.

The Sniders plan to open their operation in Norfolk in late spring or early summer. They are both commercial applicators for Lamb, having worked there for three years.

Jessica Snider said they will specialize in green, or environmentally friendly, pest control and termite treatment, just like the parent business does. Also, they will offer moisture barrier installation.

They are graduates of Gloucester High School. Both previously worked at Riverside Wellness and Fitness Center-Middle Peninsula in Gloucester. Chris Lamb, who started Lamb Exterminating 15 years ago, said his business has grown to 10 employees. He has been at the Gloucester Point location for about 10 years.
