Gloucester County man working hard to give the military its due

Duncan Munro of Bena, is a man on a mission.

As Marketing and National Events Director of National Military Appreciation Month, the retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant is one of a handful of volunteers across the nation working to have Americans recognize May as a month to “honor, remember, recognize and appreciate” the men and women who have served and continue to serve in its armed forces.

Now in its 15th year, National Military Appreciation Month promotes the importance of today’s military and the rich history of this country’s armed services.

Munro said that the group is active throughout the year, but he gets a lot of media calls this month. On a recent visit to his home, Munro said he had done several radio interviews with out-of-state stations in the past few days.
