Gloucester Collaboration

Members of the Middle Peninsula Amateur Radio Club spent several hours on the air Saturday, broadcasting from the Gloucester Court House area attempting to contact as many Gloucester towns in the world in spite of interesting propagation on 18 MHz. The first contact came as a bit of a surprise, to a ham operator in Greenland. Another SSB contact was made to a mobile ham operating in the region. Propagation favored contacts in the south and northwest. In spite of impending rain, participants enjoyed the opportunity to again put Gloucester, Virginia, on the airwaves. Participants included, from left, Alan Lambert, Will Hrachovina, Dave Justis, Dean Marzocca and Danny Wright.
