Gloucester Christmas Parade

Organizers couldn’t have asked for much better weather, as Gloucester held its annual Citizens’ Christmas and Holiday Parade on Saturday afternoon along Main Street.

This year’s parade, which ran about an hour from start to finish, featured 62 entries.

Following the parade, awards were presented to participants in the following categories:

Adult animal group: first place—Dragon Run Saddle Club; youth animal group: first place—Hooves, Paws and Claws; church-affiliated entry: first—Bellamy United Methodist Church; second—Middle Peninsula Awana Clubs; community/civic clubs—first, The Giving Garden; second---The BROADway Babes; third—American Legion Post 75; fourth—Tidewater Shrine Club; Commercial entry, first—Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Towne Realty; second—Sanders Retirement Community; third—Lamb Exterminating; fourth—Damon & Company; elementary/middle school, first—Petsworth Elementar...
