With experience in both the nonprofit sector and as a small business owner in the county, Gloria Williams has a strong background to serve as the newest executive director of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce.

Williams, who came to the executive director’s position from Three Rivers Healthy Families (a service of the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board), is co-owner with her husband Matt of Under Boats Inc. of Gloucester, a licensed, professional diving service for boat owners, marinas and marine contractors.

A North Carolina native and graduate of Appalachian State University, Williams traveled all over the world while her husband was serving in the Navy, most recently in California. While on the West Coast, she worked as an executive assistant and board liaison for a large nonprofit. Seven years ago, they made the choice to move back east and picked Gloucester County as the place to raise their children.
