The Gloucester County Board of Zoning Appeals approved two special exceptions during a meeting Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse. William B. Hudgins, applicant and trustee for the William B. Hudgins Revocable Trust, property owner, was granted permission to establish a recreation and amusement enterprise for a practice facility and batting cage near Hudgins’ car dealership on Route 17 south of Gloucester Court House. Hudgins also was granted an imbedded variance of 500 feet to special exception criterion “C,” which requires that “activities shall be conducted at least 500 feet from any residential district.” The Hudgins property lies in the York Magisterial District and is zoned Business (B-1).
