Gloucester board to meet Monday and Tuesday

The Gloucester Board of Supervisors will meet twice next week, at 7 p.m. both Monday and Tuesday, via electronic means.

On Monday, the board will hear the proposed budget for FY 2022 from County Administrator Brent Fedors. During the same meeting, supervisors are expected to decide on the advertised tax rates.

Every year the board has to adopt advertised tax rates for the budget. The rates included are Real Estate, Manufactured Home, Public Service Corporation, Tangible Personal Property, Boats, Gloucester Sanitary District 1, Gloucester Point Sanitary District, and Mosquito Control.

Two public hearings will be held during Tuesday’s meeting. The first will be to consider exemption from a state-issued moratorium on disconnecting water and sewer from non-paying customers.
