It was the first meeting for a majority of Gloucester County Board of Supervisors members Tuesday night. In opening statements, each supervisor vowed to work together for the good of the county and its residents.

That commitment proved true during Tuesday’s meeting in the colonial courthouse when each vote taken, mostly on procedural matters, was unanimous. York district supervisor Carter Borden was elected chair of the board for 2012 and at-large supervisor Louise Theberge as vice chair during the meeting.

Each supervisor took the opportunity to address fellow board members and the public. At-large freshman supervisor Ashley Chriscoe congratulated his fellow newly-elected board members and thanked county residents for allowing him the opportunity to serve. "I look forward to working with staff and fellow board members in the coming year," Chriscoe said.
