Gloucester board approves personnel changes

The Gloucester County School Board made several appointments during its June 12 meeting at the T.C. Walker Education Center. 

Appointed to teaching positions for the 2018-2019 school year were Alison Armstrong, Jessica Johns and S. Danielle Moore, all of Newport News; Thomas Philipoom, Dawn Post and Owen Wenner, all of Gloucester; and Sherry Collins of Hayes. Also, Annie Campbell of Woodbridge was appointed as a speech pathologist. 

The board additionally rescinded its approval of Petsworth teacher Courtney Cook’s resignation.

Resignations were accepted from Gloucester High School counselors Jennifer Banks, Tiffany Durr and Jacqueline Warden and GHS teachers Laura Albert, Britnie Jordan, Michael Murphy, Thomas Ricard and Reginald Snider.

Resignations were also accepted from Peasley Middle School teachers Jan-Marie Bard, Dalila Johnson and Michael Cole, and Peasley speech pathologist Jocelyn Small. 

Resignations were additionally accepted from Abingdon Elementary school counselor Melanie Seay, Abingdon teachers Erin Flood and Jennifer Rollings and Botetourt Elementary teacher Julie Miller.

Resignations were also accepted from school division GED testing coordinator Christopher Morgan and part-time division speech pathologist Cathryn Radford. 

Resigning from support services positions were Shae Carter, Dawn Gray, Elizabeth Goller and Donald Ruhl and resigning from their coaching positions were Brittany Banks, Connor McNeil, Michael Murphy and Kenneth Schulz.
