Gloucester board approves five shoreline applications

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board approved five shoreline improvement applications during a meeting Sept 14 in the colonial courthouse.

Following separate public hearings, the board voted 7-0 to approve each application. Alternate Troy Andersen sat in for the absent Rachel Strawn, said Linda Walthall, permit technician for the Environmental Division of the Gloucester Codes Compliance office.

Scott Finney received permission to construct 250 linear feet of concrete retaining wall on property situated along the Ware River at 7042 Ware Neck Road.

Applicants William F. and Brandi L. Smith received the go-ahead to construct 130 linear feet of rock revetment landward of all wetland vegetation on property situated off Blakes View Road along Sarah Creek.

Daniel T. Nieding was allowed to construct a 20-linear-foot bulkhead with 6-foot returns adjacent to property situated along Mill Creek at 9923 Dolphin Watch Road.
