Gloucester Arts Festival kicks off June 2

The Cook Foundation’s seventh annual Gloucester Arts Festival begins June 2 and will last through June 24. There will be many arts and cultural events through the month, including the Symphony Under the Stars concert and the Plein Air Invitational featuring 27 artists from around the country. Globally renowned conservator Andrew Baxter and Burning Man artist Adrian Landon will provide a sculpture and metalworking experience for the festival.

On Friday, June 2, the Gloucester Arts Festival begins with “Brews, Brine, & Wine” at Timberneck Farm at Machicomoco State Park, Hayes. Meet Plein Air Invitational artists and buy small works rights off the easel while enjoying brews from Gloucester Brewing Company, sipping rosé from Saudé Creek Winery, fresh raw and steamed oysters from Cappahosic Oyster Company, fresh mignonette sauce and zero-alcohol wines from River Organics, four food trucks and live music with RaJazz.
