Gloucester adopts policy for handling citizen concerns

Gloucester County has initiated a new Citizen Issue Resolution Policy, intended to help the county respond to residents’ concerns and issues in a prompt and courteous fashion.

The plan was developed by county administrator Brent Fedors, with the assistance of Christi Lewis, director of Community Engagement, and was presented to the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors during its Oct. 4 meeting in the colonial courthouse.

As part of this plan, Fedors said a few restructuring items also took place, including the name of Lewis’s title and department changing from Community Education to Community Engagement. Fedors said the change better reflects the duties that the department fulfills, much of which deals with public information and relations.

Also, Garrey Curry’s title was changed from Assistant County Administrator for Community Development to Deputy County Administrator, to better reflect all of the duties of the county government he oversees.
