The Virginia Preschool Initiative provides state funds to schools that offer preschool programs for at-risk 4-year-olds. 

Gloucester children may be eligible for a free preschool program at Achilles, Bethel or Petsworth elementary school if they will be the age of 4 by Sept. 30. They must also be completely potty-trained.
