Several members of Gloucester Hippies 4-H Club competed at the State 4-H Horse Show in Lexington on Sept. 12-15, taking home a number of ribbons.

Bella Jernigan placed seventh in Small Horse Senior Rider Hunter Equitation, 11th in 1st Go and third in 2nd Go Small Horse Senior Rider Hunter Pleasure with Mr. Goodfellow.

Dakota Dunlap placed first in Miniature Horse Junior Showmanship, first in Junior Pleasure Driving, first in Junior Reinsmanship, third in Junior Hunter, third in the Driving Classics - Junior & Senior Finals, sixth in Junior Obstacle and was Junior Miniature Showmanship Champion with Wonder Horse Banana Silver Strike.

She also placed in all of the knowledge competitions which were Hippology, Horse Judging and Horse Bowl.
