Gloucester 4-H club finds success at rabbit show

Two members of the Gloucester Animal Science 4-H Club achieved notable success at the Richmond Rabbit Breeders Association Spring Rabbit Show, held March 14. Youth exhibitors Alyssa Hall and Lindsey Murphy earned multiple top awards across two shows, highlighting their skill and dedication to rabbit breeding, exhibition and showmanship. In Show A, Hall received Best of Breed with her Netherland Dwarf Chestnut Senior Buck and Best of Group with her Black Gold Tipped Steel. Hall also earned Best of Breed with her Netherland Dwarf Black Gold Tipped Steel Senior Buck and Best of Group with her Senior Chestnut Black in Show B. Murphy received Best of Group with her Blue Otter Junior Buck and Best of Variety with her Orange Senior Buck in Show A. In Show B, she earned Best of Variety awards with both her Blue Otter Junior Buck and her Orange Senior Buck. Both exhibitors also competed in the youth showmanship contest where Hall earned second place and Murphy took fifth.
