Gloria Anderson Ward, 88, of Hampton, Va., passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016.

A lifelong resident of Hampton, she retired from Fort Monroe working civil service in 1981, then later from the city of Newport News. She was a member of Hampton Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son and one cousin.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
