Glassmaking programs at Chrysler Museum today

The Chrysler Museum of Art has two events that will appeal to glassmaking lovers today at the museum, located at One Memorial Place, Norfolk.

From noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, there will be a free glassmaking demonstration, following up later tonight with hot glass and live music in the Perry Glass Studio from 8-10 o’clock.

Molten material will be “taken to exciting places,” said a release on the museum website.

During the evening hours, guests will enjoy entertainment by local musicians along with the glassmaking, and a cash bar and snacks will be offered outside.

Face masks are required for all visitors age three and up, regardless of vaccination status, said the release.
