GHS wrestlers beat Hampton, Denbigh

Gloucester High School wrestlers continue to do well in early matches. The Dukes beat Hampton, 57-24, and got by Denbigh, 42-41, in a tri-meet at GHS on Dec. 7. Gloucester also finished fourth in the Ram Cup on Dec. 3 and won several matches in the New Kent Duals on Saturday.
Winning against their Hampton opponents were Zack Perkins at 106, Ethan Parr at 120, Jacob Kuehn at 126, Michaela Foley at 132, Ethan Lineberry at 145, Jacob Raines at 160, Hunter Fairweather at 170, Tanner Griffith at 182 and Cameron Walker at 220.
Winning against their Denbigh opponents were Perkins at 106, Kuehn at 126, Raines at 160, Fairweather at 170, Griffith at 182, Khayleb Whiting at 220 and Walker at 285.
At New Kent, Perkins went 2-2 at 106, Parr went 4-1 at 120, Kuehn went 4-1 at 126, Foley went 2-3 at 132, Nathan Bovidge went 2-3 at 138, Raines went 3-2 at 160 and Walker was 5-0 at 220. Walker was also named the Most Outstanding Wrestler.
