GHS volleyball in last week of regular season

After a season full of highs and lows, the Gloucester High School girls’ and boys’ volleyball teams are in their final week of regular-season play.

The Lady Dukes faced the Menchville Monarchs twice this past week. They lost on the road Thursday night, 3-1.During Monday night’s home again against Menchville, the Lady Dukes lost to the Lady Monarchs, 3-2, and the boys beat Menchville that same night, 3-0. For the boys’ match, Gavin Cohn had eight kills, Connor Brooks had six kills and two aces, and Caleb West and Colter Callis each had four assists.

Warwick

Gloucester played at home again Tuesday night, facing the Warwick Raiders. The girls lost the match, 3-1. Karis Barberree had 10 aces and Joelle Forrest had five blocks.

The boys also lost their match to the Raiders. During the contest, Quinn Estlack had 22 assists, Brooks had 18 kills, Gavin Phan had four kills, and Colin Trinidad had two aces.
