Tryouts and practices for Gloucester High School fall athletics begin Monday, with football practice scheduled from 3 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on the GHS football practice field. 

After home scrimmages on Aug. 15 and 21, the varsity Dukes will host Phoebus in the season opener on Aug. 28. The junior varsity Dukes open the season at Phoebus on Sept. 6. 

Golf tryouts will be held Monday and Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Gloucester County Club and cross country athletes will have workouts from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday at the GHS track.

Field hockey will have practice from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday on the GHS hockey field. 

Girls’ volleyball will have practice from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday in the GHS main gymnasium. Practice for boys’ volleyball will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, also in the main gym.  ...
