Gloucester High School’s track and field teams competed in the Denbigh Patriots Track Classic on Saturday at Todd Stadium in Hampton.

On the girls’ side, Deziray Bellinger placed eighth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.10. In the 800 meter dash, Mya Baker placed second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:31.63 and a time of 2.29.00 in the 800 meter run. JV runner Alexandra Byser placed eighth in the 800 meter run inf 3:56.78. The thrower’s 4x100 meter relay placed fourth in 1:01.55. The 4x800 meter relay placed 3rd with a time of 11:42.98. Charlotte Kirby vaulted 8-0 in the pole vault giving her a fourth-place finish. Jaida Peet placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 29-11.

For the boys, Xavier Johnson ran a 12.06 in the 100 meter dash placing 27th and he also ran a 24.66 in the 200 meter dash. In the 400 meter dash, Jackson Taylor ran a 54.89 placing 23rd and Gavyn Talbot ran a 56.07 placing 29th. JV runner Izak Smith ran 58.60 in the 400 meter dash to place f...
