The Gloucester High School track teams will host the 2018 VHSL Class 5A Outdoor Regional Track and Field Championships this Friday and Saturday.

Friday’s start time is 1 p.m. for field events and 2 o’clock for running events. Start time Saturday is 10 a.m. for field events and 2 p.m. for running events finals. Teams competing include Bethel, Green Run, Hampton, Hickory, Kecoughtan, Indian River, Kempsville, Maury, Menchville, Nansemond River, Norview, Princess Anne, Salem and Warwick, as well as the host Dukes.

Heading into this weekend’s regional tournament, the GHS track and field teams had busy time, starting with the team’s last regular season meet at home on May 9, which also served as Senior Night. At that meet, the boys’ team had 32 new personal bests, while the girls amassed 24.
