The Gloucester High School track team finished strong on Friday at the VHSL Class 5 State Championships, which was held at Todd Stadium in Newport News.
Tanner Baker ran a 9:58.40 in the boys’ 3,200-meter dash, followed by Conner O’Beirne (10:01.72) and Alec Daniel (10:01.82). Gloucester finished the boys’ 4x800m relay in sixth place out of 15 teams with a time of 8:28.25.
Mya Baker ran the girls’ 1,600m dash with a time of 5:44.51. Nicole Pinder ran a 12:28.12 in the girls’ 3,200m dash, followed by Baker (12:28.85).
